PR and media relations for hospitality, travel and projects with a compelling story.

I shape editorial positioning and build relationships with the media, turning distinctive identities, places and experiences into coverage that strengthens reputation.

Stories that earn media coverage, in Italy and around the world.

The Guardian, The Telegraph, la Repubblica, Vanity Fair, Sky TG24, Lonely Planet and DJ Mag are among the media outlets that have featured projects represented by Press & Pillow.

A senior PR professional, working directly with you.

I’m Davide Bertolino, the person behind Press & Pillow. I personally lead every engagement, from strategy and pitching to day-to-day media relations. Your work is never handed off to a junior team. I have more than nine years of experience in PR and communications, including work with Belmond and Hilton. Through Press & Pillow, I have secured coverage for independent projects in The Guardian, The Telegraph, la Repubblica, Vanity Fair, Lonely Planet and DJ Mag. I focus primarily on hospitality and travel, working selectively with cultural and experiential projects that have a distinctive identity and strong editorial potential. To remain directly involved at every stage, I work with no more than three clients at any one time.

Three different projects. One method that delivers results.

Moyseion Matera: 114 pieces of coverage in 12 months across 12 countries.

For Moyseion, an independent cultural hospitality project in Matera’s Sassi, I developed its editorial positioning and led a PR campaign across Italy and international markets. The result: 114 pieces of coverage in 12 months, spanning 12 countries, with features in The Guardian, The Telegraph, Vanity Fair, Sky TG24, Sky Arte and other leading media outlets.

B-Side, Alta Badia: from Lonely Planet to DJ Mag

For B-Side, a hi-fi listening bar in Alta Badia where sound frequencies are translated into cocktails, I developed a media positioning at the intersection of hospitality, music and mixology. The PR campaign generated coverage across Italian and international media, from Lonely Planet to DJ Mag, helping position B-Side as a distinctive hospitality and cultural concept.

Premio Fracchia: 23 pieces of coverage in 20 days.

For the sixth edition of Premio Fracchia, a literary festival promoted by the Municipality of Casarza Ligure, I was brought in shortly before the event to build national media visibility within a very limited timeframe. By combining the cultural story with a new travel angle focused on the Ligurian hinterland and tailoring every pitch to each journalist, the campaign generated 23 pieces of coverage across 21 media outlets in just 20 days — without press trips, creators, automated distribution or paid content.
